Our clinic's distinctive features include:

Second Opinion and Same-Day Diagnosis System:
We understand that undergoing precise examinations after being told further testing is necessary can be extremely stressful. To minimize patient anxiety, our clinic has implemented a same-day diagnosis system, where results from mammography and ultrasound are provided on the same day. Additionally, if desired, needle biopsies to determine cancer characteristics can also be performed on the same day.

Day Surgery:
For early-stage breast cancer cases, where only tumor removal and sentinel lymph node testing are required, we offer day surgery. Even for more advanced cases, by using preoperative chemotherapy to shrink the tumor and eliminate lymph node metastasis, approximately 80% of patients can undergo this surgery. Our clinic utilizes intravenous and local anesthesia, allowing patients to go home on the same day with minimal pain.

Non-surgical Tumor Ablation using Radiofrequency Waves:
For localized breast cancer cases, surgery may not be necessary. Instead, we can use a needle to ablate and destroy the tumor. Although this procedure is not covered by insurance and costs 320,000 yen (including sentinel lymph node biopsy) as an out-of-pocket expense, it minimizes deformity. This method is particularly good news for cases where cancer is located below the nipple, as conventional surgery often results in significant deformity. Our clinic is the only one in the Kanto region and northern Japan performing this procedure, and it can be done on an outpatient basis.

Chemotherapy:
The mainstay of breast cancer treatment has shifted from surgery to medical therapy. Aggressive adoption of chemotherapy has been shown to reduce the mortality rate by 19% in overseas studies. In line with this trend, chemotherapy has become more common in Japan. However, it can take half a day to a full day, causing disruptions to work schedules. Our clinic offers chemotherapy on Saturdays, Sundays, and weekdays until 7:00 PM, utilizing four specialized beds efficiently and shortening the infusion time, minimizing the impact on work (referral letters from other clinics are required).

Advanced 3D Mammography:
3D mammography, also known as breast tomosynthesis, has improved upon traditional 2D mammography. Conventional mammography compresses the breast and takes X-ray images, often resulting in overlapping structures and difficulties in interpretation, especially for younger patients or those with dense breast tissue. 3D mammography takes multiple images from different angles and reconstructs them into a 3D representation, eliminating overlapping and providing enhanced clarity for lesion detection.
